Our passion for mountains comes from experience and variety. We have followed the well travelled apprentice route of; indoor climbing to rock climbing across Britain, moving onto winter climbing in Scotland and Wales and then migrating to Europe to experience the Alps. Having also learnt to ski along the way, we are complete alpinists. In addition our experience isn’t confined to close at home but includes ascents in the Greater Ranges such as the Himalaya and leading expeditions across the World.

We are based in two climbing epicentres; Llanberis in Snowdonia and Sheffield in the Peak. All instructors are suitably qualified, experienced and insured and hold a current Mountain First Aid qualification.

I am an enthusiastic adventurer and spend all my free time questing and exploring whether it is climbing up rock in the sun, on cold North Faces or skiing down powder fields. I also have a dark side and may be found in a boat on white water or on a mountain bike.

My background is many years working in outdoor education with young people providing multi activity courses. I have worked for a number of local educational outdoor centres and providers across the UK. I hold qualifications including the Mountaineering Instructor Certificate (which is the UK's highest qualification for instructing climbing and mountaineering both summer and winter) as well as kayaking, mountain biking and caving leaderships awards.

My work and travel have taken me to many corners of the world; extensively in Europe but also to North Africa, South America, the Middle East, the Nepalese Himalayas and to over 7000m in Central Asia.

This initial passion for the outdoors was through studying geography and I have a BSc in Geography from the University of Wales. I am an active member of Llanberis Mountain Rescue Team, which covers the Snowdon group and a full member of AMI (Association of Mountaineering Instructors), BAIML (British Association of International Mountain Leaders) and MTA (Mountain Training Association). I am also part of the test team for Rab Equipment.
